Welcome to Harvest Church of the Nazarene, Las Vegas, Nevada

Harvest welcomes people regardless of their church background. We are a church that never pressures anyone into giving or makes guests feel uncomfortable.

Our vision...

WE SEE us as a Multi-Site Church in non-churched neighborhoods and targeting those whom no one else is trying to reach.  Some areas and targets will be:

ü      At least one in the North Valley in the growing area close to the beltway.

ü      At least one in North East Las Vegas, close to Nellis.

ü      At least one in South Las Vegas.

ü      At least one that is Bi-lingual.

ü      One least one that is for Singles

ü      At least one in Sun City that is just for Adults, a church that will be a prototype of other adult churches in Sun Cities all over the nation.

ü      A Church in the Mall, a very unique church that is a Youth Church with an arcade out front, an hangout, a place where they can get counseling, a place where their music is played, a place where they can get tutoring, a place where they can have fun, get to know new positive friends, a place where they can get to know God.

ü      A Church on the Strip with varied times.  A place where the people who work on the strip can go and find help, can find God.  A place where visitors who are hurting can stop and find a caring place that will help them with their hurts, their problems, and their lost dreams.  It will be a unique style of ministry.

WE SEE at least one of our sites we will own with 5 to 10 acres up against the mountains. There will be a Worship Center on it that as you come in will have a glass front that will see out on the mountains, looking out on God's creations.  This is so that when you come in with all those problems that are weighing you down, you will look out on those mountains and think, if God can create those, He is big enough to take care of my problems.

The front will not just be a stage but it will have big rocks and a stream running through it.  We see it as a place where we can be close to God.  We were created in a Garden and when man says I want to be close to God, he goes out to nature.  Kind of like a picture of the Sermon on the Mount where the people were seated on the hillside outside listening to Jesus teach.

It also will only seat 150 to 200 people.  We don't want to be so large that people will get lost because we envision a very caring community of people who know each other, who care about each other.  We also will be large enough so people who are new will be able to slip in without feeling uncomfortable or out of place.  Of course we will have more than one service because people live such varied lives.

WE SEE a Harvest Café, a place where people can interact with each other and make new friends.  That is one of the great needs here in Vegas.  Many people are moving to our area and they have left their families and their friends and we need to become a place where they can find new friends.

WE SEE a park, a walking trail, basketball courts, picnic tables, volleyball courts, a place for our community to relax, to play, to interact, to connect.

WE SEE an amphitheater where we can go outside to worship when the weather let's us.

WE SEE an Inner City Center with drug and alcohol rehabilitation, We see low cost housing that we build for those who need some help as they are on their way to being self-supportive, a link between the street and life and a worship center for 150.

WE SEE Communities of 8 to 12 people spread out all over this town.  The purpose of the Communities is to connect people to God and to other people who have common interests, common needs, and common tasks.

WE SEE Harvest Front Porches spread all though the Vegas Valley.  These can be Coffee shops where people can come to make new friends, or Mother’s Rest Stops where a mother can drop her child off for an hour or so, or any other creative idea where we can connect with people who need help, who need a friend, who need God.

WE SEE Harvest making a difference in Las Vegas.
